^Lot 1065 Smith & Wesson Model 442-1 'Airweight' .38 S&W Spc

American made lightweight double-action only revolver chambered for .38 S&W Special ammunition (rated for +P ammunition). Manufactured in Springfield, MA. The " Airweight" is built on the 'J' Magnum frame, and is a variation of the Model 42 Cenntenial Airweight. Revolver features a 1-7/8" barrel, concealed hammer, aluminum frame, smooth curved trigger, fluted five-round cylinder, checkered cylinder release, non-shrouded ejector rod, knurled ejector rod head, fixed serrated ramped front sight, smooth backstrap, notched frame rear sight, and two-piece checkered black rubber finger grooved grips. The original matte black anodized finish retained is approximately 99% with nothing remarkable, but a light cylinder drag line. Metal displays no rust or deformation. Bore is bright with strong rifling, and cylinders chambers are excellent. The rubber grips are excellent, and the action is smooth and crisp with a tight lockup. Pistol includes the original factory blue plastic foam lined hard case with end label, lock, sticker, and owner's manual.
